Customer and repair service

Carrera Revell offers its customers a comprehensive range of repairs to ensure that products have a long service life and that the customer can enjoy them in the long term. Our goal is to provide efficient customer service that meets the needs of our customers. In doing so, we continuously optimize our processes to ensure fast and reliable repair processing.

The positive effects of our repair services are manifold. On the one hand, we enable our customers to repair and continue to use their products instead of throwing them away and buying new ones. In this way, we make an important contribution to reducing waste and conserving resources. In addition, we promote sustainable consumer behavior by focusing on the durability and repairability of our products.

Our repair offering also helps to increase our customers' trust in our brand, as they can count on us to continue to support them after the purchase. Overall, our repair offering is an important part of our sustainability strategy and an example of how we can make a positive contribution to the environment through innovative solutions.

Packaging

Carrera Revell has set itself an ambitious goal to revolutionize the packaging of its products and make it more environmentally friendly.

Carrera Revell products are already available in open packaging without a plastic viewing window. The proportion of plastic in the outer packaging has been significantly reduced or completely eliminated. Where possible, polybags are replaced by paper bags or reduced to a minimum. In addition, polystyrene and polyfoam are largely dispensed with and cardboard and paper trays made of recycled material are used instead. The packaging has been reduced overall, and PVC is no longer used.

This change has several positive effects. On the one hand, we are significantly reducing our consumption of raw materials and making a contribution to protecting the environment. By using sustainable materials, we also reduce the environmental impact of our entire product lifecycle, from manufacturing to disposal.

By reducing the size of the packaging, we also minimize the transport and storage volume. This has a positive impact on the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Switching to sustainable packaging materials and reducing the size of our packaging are important steps in our journey towards greener and more sustainable product design. Carrera Revell is committed to pursuing these goals with determination and commitment in order to make a positive contribution to the preservation of our environment.

Long-lasting products

Carrera Revell products are already characterized by their remarkable durability. Our goal is to continue to offer products that meet this high standard and exceed our customers' expectations.

The longevity of our products has a positive impact on the environment, as it helps to avoid waste. By using high-quality materials and robust constructions, our products can be used for long periods of time without losing quality or performance. This reduces the need to replace products frequently, thus minimizing waste that ends up in landfills or needs to be recycled.

Our commitment to longevity is a central part of our sustainability strategy and a testament to our commitment to providing products that not only meet the needs of our customers, but also make a positive contribution to preserving our environment.

Climate change

Adapting to climate change

Adapting to the challenges of climate change is crucial for companies, as it has far-reaching effects on a wide range of business areas. On the one hand, consumer behaviour is changing towards a stronger focus on sustainable products. Consumers increasingly prefer environmentally friendly and socially responsible offers. Companies that recognize and implement these trends at an early stage have a clear advantage.

At the same time, climate change is leading to significant fluctuations in commodity prices and services. Climate-related events such as droughts, storms or floods can affect production and significantly increase the cost of raw materials. Transport is also repeatedly disrupted by environmental disasters, which can lead to supply bottlenecks and higher transport costs.

Overall, it is essential for companies like ours to proactively adapt to the challenges of climate change – so we want to work with different measures in the future.

Climate protection

In order to actively advocate for climate protection and adapt to climate change, we will make a number of changes in the future. Our products, which have so far been largely made of plastic and are produced in the Far East, are to be increasingly manufactured from alternative, sustainable raw materials. As a result, we reduce the use of petroleum-based materials and reduce our dependence on non-renewable resources.

We will also break new ground in transport. While the preferred shipping route to Europe will remain, we will increasingly rely on lower-emission means and methods of transport to minimize the environmental footprint. This could include the use of more energy-efficient ships or alternative energies. At the same time, we are developing alternative marketing and distribution concepts to optimize supply chains and reduce the associated emissions.

We produce at different locations. In addition to China, we also deliberately have production sites in Europe and the USA near our shipping warehouses in order to reduce transport and the associated CO2 emissions.

Another focus is on resource conservation. We will take measures to reduce energy and water consumption and use existing raw materials more efficiently. This includes the optimisation of production processes as well as the promotion of recycling and the circular economy.

To assess and manage our efforts, we create comprehensive carbon footprints (CCF) for all sites, including relevant Scope 3 emissions. This enables us to identify and implement targeted measures to reduce emissions. Through these holistic adaptations and the focus on sustainable practices, we are making an active contribution to climate protection and at the same time securing the future viability of our company.

Energy

Although the companies of the Carrere Revell Group do not operate any manufacturing units themselves, we are aware that our suppliers have energy-intensive production processes. We are therefore dealing intensively with the topic of energy consumption and are currently examining the switch to green electricity and alternative energies in our supply chain. Through these measures, we want to make our contribution to reducing our CO₂ footprint and improving the sustainability of our entire value chain. The use of renewable energies and the promotion of energy-efficient technologies are at the heart of our efforts to minimise the environmental impact and promote more environmentally friendly production methods in the long term.
